The Montessori House Shelf is custom-designed by our workshop for children's rooms from 15 months to 4 years old: two house-shaped sides with a chimney and windows, three low, open tiers at an accessible height. Children can see all their toys and books, choose what they like, and put them back in the right place after playing – a prepared environment for children to practice independence and tidiness according to the Montessori method. Child-friendly height for 15 months - 4 years old: top surface is 45.4 cm high – chest height for a 15-month-old, allowing them to see and reach all 3 tiers when standing; each tier is 19 cm high, suitable for small baskets, activity trays, block sets, and picture books. The top surface is under the roof, books can be displayed cover-out, leaning against the back rail. Adorable house design: chimney, sloped roof, two windows on each side for children to peek through and retrieve items. Three horizontal rails at the back prevent items from falling out; the bottom tier is 2 cm off the floor, with a front kick plate covering down to the floor – small toys won't roll underneath. Shelf surfaces are flat, without ledges, easy to dust. Montessori shelf arrangement suggestion: display only 6-8 items, each in its own designated spot (tray, basket) so the child knows where to get and return them; display 2-3 books cover-out on the top surface; rotate a few items every 1-2 weeks to keep the child engaged. Safety: all corners are rounded, roof peak and chimney are softly rounded, edges are smoothly sanded; windows and back gaps are narrow (under 8.9 cm) so a child's head cannot get stuck, other gaps won't trap fingers; recessed hex screws are flush. The top back rail has 2 pre-drilled holes for wall mounting – wall mounting is mandatory as the shelf is light and could tip if a child pulls on it (screws and wall plugs sold separately depending on wall type). Premium craftsmanship: precise CNC cutting, hidden alignment tenons, 12 recessed hex screws fastened from outside the two side panels; no brackets, no glue, no drilling required. Dimensions 56 x 29 x 56 cm, weighs approximately 9.5 kg, ships flat in 1 package; 1 person can assemble in about 20 minutes using the included hex key. Recommended load: bottom and middle tiers 3 kg each, top surface 2 kg; do not allow children to climb or stand on the shelf.
