The two end panels feature two round-eared cats with faces carved into the wood – a small bookshelf that every child will want to sit next to, embodying the spirit of a prepared environment from the Montessori method. Child-friendly height: The shelf is 34 cm high, accessible whether the child is sitting or standing; the shelf interior is 56 cm long, holding 2 rows of picture books or hardcover books 15-30 cm tall; the back panel is slightly angled, so books lean securely and don't fall forward. Carved cat face: Eyes and nose are recessed with beveled edges, the mouth and 3 whiskers on each side are fine carved grooves; round ears with open ear holes – cute yet rustic, suitable for a child's room and preschools.
