🌱 A STORAGE BOX OF THEIR OWN – IN THE SPIRIT OF MONTESSORI Montessori builds independence from the smallest daily tasks: choosing what to use, then putting it back in its place. This front-opening box, sized for small hands, lets children do exactly that every day: • Take it and put it back by themselves: the open front shows everything inside, no digging and no lid for an adult to open. • Child height: one box is 31 cm tall; a stack of 2 is 59 cm (ages 1-3), a stack of 3 is 87 cm (ages 3-6). • Learning to tidy up: one colour per kind of item (cars, blocks, books, dolls…), so children remember the colour and sort things back into the right box. • Calm and uncluttered: a few items per box, all visible, and the room stays neat. • Safe for children: all corners rounded, edges sanded smooth, no finger-trap gaps, boxes lock together in two directions. • Quality material: 18 mm high-quality standard plywood with formaldehyde emissions meeting the US EPA standard. The stackable storage box is kids' room furniture designed in-house: an open front with a low lip, and two pastel side panels with rounded ears on top and arches underneath – stack them and the arch of the upper box hugs the ears of the one below, forming one tidy colour tower. Size: one box 32 x 30 x 31 cm, inside 28.4 x 24 x 20.7 cm, front opening 28.4 x 12 cm, the lip keeps things from falling out; about 4.8 kg. Secure stacking: the arch of the upper box hugs the ears below (front-back lock) and its base sits between those ears (left-right lock), so boxes do not slide when a child takes something out. Safety: corners R ≥ 12 mm, ears R16, every gap ≤ 8 or ≥ 25 mm; the back panel has wall-anchor holes – a stack of 3 must be anchored to the wall (screws and plugs sold separately), a stack of 2 should be. Note: do not let children climb, stand or sit on stacked boxes. Build: 18 mm CNC-cut plywood, hidden mortise joints, one hex screw per joint from outside the side panel – rigid, no wobble; no glue, no drilling. Colour: the two side panels are painted matte pastel – pastel pink, mint green, baby blue or butter yellow; top, bottom, back and lip are left natural to show the wood grain. Mix colours to build a colour tower for the kids' room.
