The Low-back Montessori Cloud Bookshelf is a compact version of our cloud shelf, custom-designed by our workshop for children's reading nooks: the cloud-shaped back is only as high as the top tier, and the two book tiers are stepped so book covers face forward. Children can see the covers, choose their own books, and put them back – in true Montessori spirit, and perfect for small rooms. Child-friendly for ages 1-4: the shelf is 44.5 cm high to the cloud's peak, with book tiers at 4.5 and 24.5 cm – easily reachable when sitting. Each tier fits two small picture books (up to 20 cm wide); books on the lower tier lean against the upper tier's edge, and books on the upper tier lean against the cloud back, so covers are always visible. A support bar behind the lower tier prevents books and toys from falling backward. Safety: all corners are rounded, edges are smoothly sanded, no finger-trap gaps (all gaps ≤ 8 or ≥ 25 mm). The cloud back has two pre-drilled holes for wall anchoring – anchoring is mandatory as the shelf is light and could tip if a child pulls on it (wall anchors and screws sold separately, depending on wall type). Premium craftsmanship: seamless CNC-cut cloud shape and beveled sides, smoothly sanded edges; hidden dowel joints, 6 recessed hex screws installed from the outside of both sides; no brackets, no glue, no drilling required.
